Persistent, severe tooth pain is almost always a sign of decay, infection, or a cracked tooth. Rinse with warm water and take over-the-counter pain relief. Do not place aspirin directly on the gum. Call us immediately.
Act within 30 to 60 minutes. Pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root. If possible, gently place it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Call us immediately and come in straight away.
Rinse gently with warm water. Apply gentle pressure with a clean cloth if there is bleeding. Save any pieces of the tooth. Call us even if there is no pain, as a broken tooth needs prompt assessment.
