Implant-Supported Bridge
Anchored to dental implants rather than natural teeth. Preserves the adjacent teeth completely and prevents bone loss beneath the gap. The most permanent and natural-feeling bridge option.
Removable Bridge
Used when there is only one adjacent tooth to anchor to. Less common, typically used for lower-force areas such as front teeth. Suitable in specific clinical situations.
What does a crown actually do for your tooth?

At your second appointment, the finished bridge is tried in, adjusted for fit and bite, then cemented permanently. You leave with a complete smile.
One honest note: a bridge rests above the gum but does not anchor into the bone. Over time, some bone loss beneath the gap is expected. If long-term bone preservation is important to you, an implant-supported bridge or a single implant may be a better fit. We will talk through all your options clearly.

Is getting a dental crown painful?
The tooth is fully numbed before preparation, you will feel pressure but no pain. Some temporary sensitivity in the days after is normal. Once the permanent crown is cemented, most patients experience no discomfort at all.
Do I need a crown after a root canal?
In most cases, yes, especially for back teeth. Root canal treatment makes the tooth more brittle and prone to fracture. A crown protects it and dramatically extends its lifespan. If you have had a root canal without a crown, please do not wait book an appointment.
